Flag Day, eh? Of all the traditional holidays, greeting card company holidays and government holidays, Flag Day doesn’t seem to fit in. It could so be easily absorbed into the 4th. Anyway, that was the first thing I thought this morning, right along side, “dang, I used a lot of Robitussin last night.”
And, yes, the sickness continues. These week days are beginning to settle into a groove, which is excellent for me, and less exciting for all you regular readers. Got started in the field a little later so that Tinny could move on up to the cabinas. 55 trees, out by 1:45pm. I swear about two more busloads of people joined us today, this jungle is packed.
Met up with the other half Team Wanchope after my shower. Debra goofed around on my computer for what seemed like forever trying to use Skype. Finally got that to work by 3:30pm. Afternoon coffee break time. Enjoyed our portable iced-greatness with the futbol game down at the field.
Intense game. Saw the girls off to Juan Enriques, and played around the lab until dinner. This might be the most boring day to write about ever. Gotta say the highlight of my day was Debra’s story about breaking her tooth in Las Vegas, it’s a long one. I could go on and on about how excited I am about the winning streak, but let’s face it I’ll just be a little happier if the Yanks win each day.
Attempted to bring a coffee back with me to the office, it didn’t make it. Really need to get some solid sleep tonight, the last two have been brutal. Activities for tomorrow include some bike tube changing, bike riding lessons, and afternoon coffee break. Maybe I’ll just copy/paste day to day.
Topping the week off with the sixth straight day in the field and looking to finish the first run through the plot. Finished subplot 94/100 today. I’m very excited to start working in our next plot, Lindero Sur, because of the mile or so hike every morning. I enjoy being in the forest working more and more every morning. Quite convinced I want to come back.
(forgot to use parentheses the whole post, so here you go).
